15-Day Return Policy
Eligibility & General Conditions
HEAVY EQUIPMENT SPECIALISTS PTY LTD provides a 15-day return option on qualifying vehicles and machinery, subject to the conditions detailed below:
- Refund Entitlement: Eligible buyers may receive a full refund of the purchase price, excluding non-refundable costs such as administrative fees, processing charges, taxes, transportation, reconditioning, or similar expenses.
- Refund Limitation: Any refund issued is capped at a maximum of 104% of the applicable Hour Meter Wholesale National Average Price at the date of sale.
- Eligible Buyers: This policy is available exclusively to private purchasers and licensed dealers within Australia for vehicles or machinery located in Australia.
Eligible Vehicles & Machinery
To be accepted for return, the vehicle or machinery must satisfy the following requirements:
- Structural Integrity: The unit must not display any signs of structural damage.
- Minimum Sale Value: The purchase price must be no less than $1,000 AUD.
- Weight Criteria: Machinery must have a minimum Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 1,000 kg.
- Applicable Categories: This policy covers, but is not limited to:
- Agricultural and earthmoving machinery
- Commercial and industrial vehicles
- Off-road equipment, forklifts, and ATVs
- Medium- and heavy-duty transport trucks
- Trailers and transport-related equipment
- Sale Status: Units sold on an “As Is” basis remain eligible, provided all other policy conditions are met.
Return Terms & Conditions
Return Period & Usage Limits
The 15-day return period commences on the date the unit is delivered to the purchaser. Returns will not be accepted if any of the following limits are exceeded:
- More than 20 operating hours, or
- More than 200 kilometres of usage.
Return Requests
To initiate a return, buyers must notify our sales or support team within 15 days of delivery. Once contacted, our team will confirm eligibility and provide step-by-step return instructions.
Transport & Inspection
Return Transport: All return transport arrangements are managed by HEAVY EQUIPMENT SPECIALISTS PTY LTD through approved logistics providers. Inspection: Returned units must be received in their original condition, free from unauthorised modifications or additional damage. Restocking & Repair Charges: Additional fees may apply if inspections reveal damage, abnormal wear, or alterations beyond standard operating use.
Refund Processing
Once inspection is completed and the return is approved, refunds will be processed to the original payment method, less any applicable service, repair, or restocking costs.
Policy Exclusions
This return policy applies exclusively to pre-owned vehicles and machinery. Brand-new or unused equipment is not covered under this policy.
Governing Law
This Return Policy is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia. All matters arising in connection with this policy are subject to Australian jurisdiction.
